"What do you mean I'm fired?" Jenny asked.
"What do I mean? Fired! as in get out, you will never work here again!" Frederick Raneou, one of the mangers yelled back. Before everyone's stunned eyes, Jenny tears in her eyes grabbed her stuff and ran out of the Paris Opera house.
"To think we had the student of that infernal Phantom working here." Pepe Latrouc, the other manger guffed. "Get me Miss Fairchild on the phone, tell her that her friends captured the Phantom and we have a show to perform!" Aids began running around the Opera house.
Very Early Morning 2/20/1890
Bang Bang BANG BANG! A loud knocking came on Lance's door, followed immediately by several loud knocks on several of his friends' doors. He jolted up and looked rudely at the door. Lyles, startled, fell out of bed, as the rest of the companions all opened a weary eye and peered with distaste at the door. Lance was the first to his door; he opened it to see Pierre leering back at him, a mocking grin on his face. Behind him were several Gundarm or Parisian Police standing at attention. Basil was the next to open his door, words about to spill out of his mouth, but he was instantly cut off by Piere, "I'm sorry it appears that your stay at our wonderful hotel has ended. You need to gather up your belonging immediately and get out now. I hope that you will leave peacefully, and Le Hotel Grande does hope that the next to time you visit Paris you stay with us again." He gave a disgusting grin at Basil and Lance. Lance looked about ready to lunge at the insipid concierge.
The door to Sam and Kay's room opened up, and the cowboy looked out in just his cowboy hat. He seemed ready to give a mocking comment to whoever had disturbed him, but stopped suddenly at seeing the dozen or so French police.
Five minutes later, after dealing a bit with the French police's shock at seeing She'ly'ia, the former guests of the hotel were escorted out the door and into the Parisian streets and the early morning light. Next door, sitting outside of the Mouse's Cafe, was Mariah Sochulack, Winston Hutchinson, Raoul Renier, and Charlette Isabella Haurie. All stared calmly at the ex-inhabitants of the hotel, until finally Raoul spoke, "We do hope you enjoyed your stay in Paris, and hope that you will never come back." Winston Hutchinson then tossed the morning newspaper over in front of them. It flopped down in front of Percey. "PHANTOM ARRESTED AT OPERA! HIS STUDENT, THE LEAD ACTRESS FIRED!"
About an hour later, after having decided that it wasn't worth it to argue with Pierre, the dozen or so wererats, and the French Police in the middle of Paris, the party wandered over to Things They Left Behind.
Cael, fully clothed, was sweeping the sidewalk. A large sign was outside his shop stating, "Free inkquill with any purchase!" Father Roberto shook his head wondering in vain if the inkquills were as cursed as the rest of the merchandise. Ian Parker walked up to Cael and asked if Kurt Lunqvist was around, and of course, it being 8:00 AM, he was not.
After waiting impatiently for several hours, Lance avoiding most of the antiques available for sale in the shop, shortly after dusk, Kurt Lunqvist eventually appeared. After much talking and complaining followed by sarcastic comments made by the cowboy, Kurt told them that the Sea Wolf II would leave that night around 9:00 PM. A few hours later, the party was aboard and the ship had set sail heading back towards home in London.
Matumba watched through the bars on the window as Vinnie Dilucci exited his coach and walked towards the door of the castle. The thug walked inside and disappeared from view. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Count Dracula," he said to the pasty white elderly man upon getting inside, a chill running up his spine. "Good Evening, I hope everything has been arranged." the Transylvanian said in his thick accent.
"Yes, the Professor is eagerly awaiting your arrival in London," the Italian thug spoke quickly, nervousness obviously in his voice. "He hopes everything is acceptable."
"Quite, except the matter of payment." the Count spoke, a toothy grin on his face. Vinnie looked a bit frightened at this comment.
"Well, um, if it's a matter of how much..."
"No I want something else instead now." he held out a thin white clawed hand and released a locket which hung around his wrist. "I want her." A picture of a very attractive woman swung back and forth on the end of the chain.
Toddy MacFarland watched the Sea Wolf II depart from the harbor. He droped his cigarrette to the ground and stamped it out as he walked down the cobblestone streets. He turned and entered a building and walked up to the man behind the counter. "I need to send a telegram to London." he said.
"Sir, this from Paris." a young man handed a telegram to a man cloaked in darkness, a tall hat upon his head. The man read it and chuckled ominously. A tiger lying at his feet lifted its head at the sound. "Seargeant, Dr. Montgomery is on his way back to London. I do hope you know what to do. Oh and please also don't forget about his other self. We should really treat them as equals, now shouldn't we?"
"Of course, Professor, we will take great pleasure in this." another man said, as he flipped a coin up into the air. It spun around, turning slowly, and then landed in his palm, the face on it crossed off. "Two of them. Double our pleasure." he laughed.
