7th Sea RPG (d10)
1 Isle of Privateers Worth 2
Gamemaster: Bob Johnston
Time: Friday 13:00
Length: 5 Hours
Location: Lounge A

Aye! We be not Pirates - so they say. We be Privateers with Her Majesty's blessing. It is fine line betwixt the two! Aye, to maintain her blessing you must not cross it! This is a game of high swashbuckling & fast paced action based in a modified fantasy 17th century Europe. This is your opportunity to Swing down from the mast, leap off the yardarm, carouse with the best and the worst the exciting and dangerous world of Theah has to offer. This is a learn how to play, have an useable understanding of the world and play the game event.

As the title indicates in this particular game you'll be a crewman who has been placed on an enchanted island in a maze, well, more than just a maze; a proving ground to see if you're worthy to become a Sea Dog! Sea Dogs are accorded a rank approaching knighthood in the country of Avalon. You start the game as a "henchman" just short of becoming a "Hero". Your group must work as a true crew to individually and collectively complete each proving ground event area. Each "Event area" takes 20 to 40 minutes to complete. This event was previously run at another convention. Come also and join me at the 7th Sea Tournament (Playing in this game qualifies beginners and novice to play in the 7th Sea Tournament at this convention). Please contact me at bjohnston@polycon.org if you have any questions. This event will be open to all levels of players. Onlookers and spectators are welcomed and encouraged to cheer on the crew and even join in some. Spectators will use a simplified version of the rules. You may leave (the game if you need to) at any port (between event areas) and new crew (replacement players) can embark (be added) there. Character will be provided.

7th Sea RPG Tournament (d10) - Round 1A
Scars of El Morro
Gamemaster: Bob Johnston
Time: Friday 20:00
Length: 6 Hours
Location: 116

You awake in a dark room to groaning and the smell of blood. There's somebody on the floor beside you that half consciously groan with each breath they take. You try to move only to be overcome with dizziness. Where are you? What have you done now? Were you drunk? No! Ouch, don't think so sharply.

After a short while you quietly and slowly consider the possibility that you may have been drugged. Who? Carefully you search your sluggish mind for your last memories - they elude you! What do you remember? A priest, but more...the Don taken...and getting...getting into a pitched battle! OUCH, T H I N K S L O W E R. Which one happened first...maybe you did not win or succeed? Too much thinking is making you dizzy again.

Again after a brief rest you decide to check for wounds and realize that your wrists and feet are bound. You do manage to ascertain that you are slightly injured. Before you can further assess your injuries or try to even consider your next action you hear a noise, the click and slide of a bolt, as a door to the room you are in is being opened. Instinctively you crane your neck around to size up the person entering only to simultaneously be blinded and overcome with dizziness. Squinting your eyes in spite of it all, you can only just make out a robed and hooded figure in the doorway. You start seeing stars just as you recognize...

So starts your tale of discovery in PolyCon's Second Bi-Annual 7th Sea RPG Tournament "The Scar of El Morro". This event will be open to only 12 players of Novice or higher skill level. Role-play ability will outweigh specific understanding of game rules. So be prepared for swashbuckling and high, fast action.

This tournament is composed of 2 initial games and one final game. The first initial game of 6 players will start early Friday evening. The second initial game (same plot as the first) of a different set of 6 players will start Saturday morning. The top 3 available players, as chosen by the players and GM from each initial game, will then participate in the final game Saturday evening. Prizes will be awarded to all participants after each game. The final highest ranked individuals will be announced and record at Monday's auction.

All Flesh Must Be Eaten Round 1A
Gamemaster: Dan Barr
Time: Friday 19:00
Length: 4 Hours
Location: 115

Guttenberg's moveable type press not only created a new way to print books, but also inspired a new age of learning and exploration. Europeans travelled across the Earth in search of riches and fame. Prince Faulk of Munich sent out his own expedition, deep into Africa, to bring him back all the wealth and oddities they could carry. Their timing couldn't be more perfect, as they arrived right as his birthday was approaching. However, they return also coincided with a string of ghastly murders that has the populous scared to go to bed at night. The prince is more concerned with his party plans then he is in preventing the murders and so the horrors continue unchecked. The time has come to decide, do you sit and wait to die, or do you survive, either by your wits or by your brawn. And what, exactly, is the correlation betweens the murders and the prince.

Time: Friday 20:00
Length: 6 Hours
Location: 107

aka Attack of the Novice GM! Mwahahaha

1000 years ago, everybody /knew/ the great dragon had been defeated forever. Nothing could shake off that many petrification spells, right?
300 years ago, everybody /knew/ that that the Dragon Ridge hills were just a natural, albeit unusual, geological formation. The story about it actually being a petrified dragon was just an old myth. After all, not even dragons get _that_ big, right?
3 weeks ago, everybody /knew/ a recent spate of tremors in Dragon Ridge keep had revealed secret tunnels , filled with ancient treasure, ripe for easy pickings. Bards do such great work, don't they?
5 days ago, you /knew/ going to Dragon Ridge was the best idea you'd ever had. I mean, come on! What could possibly go wrong?
3 minutes ago, you /knew/ you were about to die. By all the gods! That thing is gigan - *CRUNCH*
And 30 seconds ago, you found out that every one of those things was just plain wrong.

Congratulations; you've just been eaten by a dragon. Now what?
