Peace and quiet, in a tavern in the Highlands? What were you thinking...

A Game of Thrones Board Game
Feast for Crows Expansion
Gamemaster: Griffin Mitchell
Time: Saturday 13:00
Length: 10 Hours
Location: 238A

"In A Game of Thrones the board game, players take control of one of the great Houses of Westeros. Via resource management, diplomacy, and cunning, they seek to win dominance over the land. Players must give orders to armies, control important characters, gather resources for the coming winter, and survive the onslaught of their enemies. A unique phase mechanic, battle resolution, and special ordering system make for an engaging game in which all players are actively involved at all times." - Board Game Geek

In the Feast for Crows expansion, my poor, innocent players will be required to take control of one of the -nine- available houses in an epic battle for supremacy. This massive undertaking will occupy the backs of two of the normal game boards with a fan-made custom board, introducing new mechanics, three new houses, and a vast amount of new territory to battle over.

The game will be run in Diplomacy tournament style - 15 minutes of discussion, plotting, and planning time, 5 minutes of setup, and a whole heaping hunk o' time for each actual turn, as your opponent refuses to fall into your lovingly crafted trap.

Players new to Game of Thrones (the board game) should show up on time for a rules discussion - those familiar with the basic system can do away with the first 45 minutes. Game will take an hour break for the BBQ.

    Beowulf: The Legend
    Gamemaster: Dean Taylor
    Time: Friday 22:00

Didn't read Beowulf in high school? That's OK - you don't need to know the story to play one of Beowulf's loyal shield-mates, assisting your lord as he lives out the epic story of his life, slaying mighty beasts with his bare hands. The one who aids him the most will become Lord of the Geats (cuz, you know, *SPOILER* Beowulf dies at the end)! Don't care about the story? This is a bidding game - collect resource cards, then spend them in bidding for special cards, gold, victory points or random stuff. Don't be caught out on the big bids, or you'll be stuck with penalties that lower your score. It's all victory points in the end, but everything helps you get there!

It's been a long trip. I'll sure be glad to get off this train and stretch my legs on stable ground. Still, there's the reason I'm here; The Danvers Insane Asylum. It's known for its good care and concern for the well being for the patients that reside there, but still, there's something creepy about the place that I just can't put my finger on. It's almost like the building itself has something it wants to scream at me. Okay, okay, get ahold of yourself. I don't want to let my imagination get the best of me. Especially since I've got business to attend to there. Oh look, there's my stop:

      Asylum Station- lovely.

There's the place, on top of that hill over there. Gosh, all I need now is a lightning storm. Oh wait... perfect.

Come join us for the fun filled thrill ride that is Call of Cthulhu.? Wish You Were Here is set in the 1880's, in the historic town of Danvers, Massachusetts. Learn the things that man was not meant to know.? Dance with the devil under the pale moonlight. Find out just how many different new and exciting ways there are to be driven mad or worse.

    Call of Cthulhu Diceless
    Marooned
    Gamemaster: Eric Rall
    Time: Saturday 14:00
    Length: 4 Hours
    Location: 245

There's an old Spacer saying: "Beyond the orbit of Saturn, there is no law. Beyond Uranus, there is no God." Strange things happen on the depths of space, and even the most hardened of pirates rarely venture far into the outer system. But a lot has changed in the last six months.

Six months ago, the Interplanetary Transport Corporation was nationalized, the great President Alexi Wang was assassinated, and a military coup was put down when a pirate fleet and the Terrans joined with the portion of the Spacer fleet which remained loyal to the Federal Council. The Accords were ratified shortly after the Battle of L2, and the pirates were offered amnesty. Most accepted, but the holdouts have been driven further and further into the outer system.

You and four other crewmen have been judged traitors against the Jolly Roger. Your sentence is a lifetime of exile, and a rather short lifetime at that. You've been deposited on an airless rock deep in the Kuiper belt, and each of you has only an environment suit, three hours of oxygen, and a pistol with one bullet. Unless you can find something on this godforsaken rock to keep you alive or arrange a miraculous rescue, your future looks bleak.

    What's that Smell?
    Gamemaster: Andy Flores
    Time: Saturday 14:00
    Length: 9 Hours
    Location: 246B

This adventure comes from a module written by John Wick for the D20 System and is for 6th Level Characters:

Imagine your party coming back from another adventure beaten, bloodied and exhausted. As the party crests a small hill, down below lies a halfling village. "Excellent" says one party member, "Halflings are renowned for their hospitality! We'll spend the night in the village, reward them with some party gold and be on our way in the morning!"

As the party approaches the site, the first thing noticed is the smell. Everywhere you go, the smells of roses, gardenias, honeysuckle, petunias, and lilacs fill the air. Every house has a garden, each one designed to capture patterns of color. Cabbages and carrots grow in backyards under apple, pear and cherry trees. All which don't help your stomachs, rumbling with the memory of last night's iron rations.

For such a vibrant locale, one would expect the village to be hopping. However, not a single being walks within your sight...

Come join a not-so-ordinary adventure were wits and skill are necessary to succeed. Players are requested to bring a spare copy of your character sheet for the GM and the appropriate supplements for their character's description. Characters should be 6th level. Pre-generated characters will also be available for the game.

This is an 8 hour game. The first four hours will run from 2pm to 6pm. There will then be a break at 6pm for the PolyCon BBQ with the remaining four hours occurring from 7pm to 11pm.

A screeching of metal on metal as sparks fly across your feet.

The Biswitch Express has arrived. The maiden voyage of the train everyone has been talking about for months is about to begin. Dignitaries from many nations step from the wooden platform onto the train. The next days should be very interesting indeed.

You wanted to be on the maiden voyage of the train but there are other things that need doing apparently. What the three strange crystals you've been sent to pick up have to do with the train you don't know. But the Adventurer's Guild was eager to get their hands on them as soon as possible.

Looking alongside the thick forest the black clouds swallow up the stars. Bolts of ligtning pierce the clouds as the ground begins to rumble underfoot. The smell of ozone fills the air as the sound of a thousand demons clashing arms assaults your ears. From out of the darkness looms a gargantuan shape, easily eclipsing the bulk of a large dragon. A screeching of metal on metal as sparks fly across your feet.

When the Adventurer's Guild offers that much money, it has to be something important. Especially if they are sending you half way across the continent. There must be something powerful inside it. Although the Shadow Box of Amanthor does have a certain impressive title all on its own.

With all the dignitaries on the train there is bound to be something of great worth traveling with them. A lot of less than savory characters can come to that same conclusion, especially with the train passing by the Great Eastern Barrier. Maybe helping safeguard the train wasn't the best idea you ever had...

The train has been going smoothly for hours now and you're starting to relax. Maybe this will be easier than you thought. No sooner has that thought passed through your mind when the train starts to shake and shudder. Wonderful. Next time you'll think of an inn and a good drink...

Go Stop - Korean Flower Card Game
    Gamemaster: Chris Knight
    Time: Sunday 10:00
    Length: 2 Hours
    Location: Pit B

Tired of learning the newest Eurogame? Brain bent by too much dungeon crawling? Want to revel in the traditional games of your "ring of fire" neighbors? How about a light game of Go Stop, the traditional Korean game played with Hwatu, or Korean flower cards. Game play involves matching cards of the same flower from your hand, scoring for sets, and with a nail-biting element of deciding whether to keep playing (Go) or to score your points now (Stop.) Takes 15 minutes to learn (no need to learn any Korean) and each round lasts 15 minutes, and I'll discuss a bit of strategy and history for interested parties (or use Google to find the rules and history before the Con.)

Every player receives their own deck plus full-color rules in English so you can play it with friends on the next Chuseok, or Korean thanksgiving or autumn festival (celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar Korean calendar--Sept. 14, 2008; Oct. 3, 2009...) A deck fits nicely in your pocket and the cards are plastic--great for playing over beer (soda for the kids) and pizza. So feel free to bring food and eat while you play!

Some few, the Awakened, have the power to impose their will on that structure, overriding the greater consciousness for their own ends. This power does not come without a price, however. Paradox is the force of the universe as it snaps back into place after being bent by a Mage's power. Any Mage who has been Awakened for any appreciable length of time has felt the sting of Paradox, many have been destroyed by it. Paradox wreaks havoc with a Mage's mind and body, and with the fabric of reality itself. Can you escape its wrath?

    Homebrew action action action...
    Gamemaster: Kellen Snook
    Time: Sunday 08:00
    Length: 4 Hours
    Location: 238B

Are you ready to play the most amazing RPG written by Kellen Snook that you have ever seen, *maybe*? *Possibly* marvel at the unique campaign setting! Be astounded by the simple yet deep combat mechanics, *if it exists*. "But Kellen," you may ask, "the quantum uncertainty is killing me! Will this bafflingly awesome RPG be running or not?" I am glad you asked! The answer is a resounding "*in*Definitely!" The only way to find out if it is dead or alive is to observe, so show up and find out!

And what is this fantastic setting, *assuming* *existence*? Kellen has been playing too much Dungeons and Dragons: Shadows over Mystara. So much so, in fact, that he thought it would be a good idea to convert a side scrolling action arcade game into an RPG. Choose a fighter, assassin, wizard, or [insert 4th class here] and beat up bad guys in a scrolling isometric environment. Execute air juggle combos! Fill up your power meter to unleash a supermove! All in disturbingly slow simulated game time! Characters and character decks will be constructed (poorly) ahead of time, so all you will need to do is show up, play, and not groan at the railroading! Choo Choo!

Your task is to move one of the stupid little robots out on the factory floor through a series of checkpoints scattered throughout the factory. The wrinkle, however, is that the factory floor is filled with all kinds of inconvenient (if not down-right deadly) obstacles located in various locations: conveyor belts, crushers, flame-throwers, pushers, teleporters, oil slicks, pits, et cetera. But the real fun comes when the robots cross each other's path, and suddenly your perfect route is something less than that...
